RULES AND REGULATIONS
This Tournament will be played in accordance with FIFA rules, with modifications listed in the following paragraphs

The Tournament Director reserves the right and has the authority to rule on any situations not specially listed below.

Eligibility
No player or team that is currently under suspension or other serious disciplinary will be allowed to participate. A suspended player or team that takes part will be disqualified and may be prevented from further participation for a period of up to five years. To be eligible to participate, all individuals must be at least 35 years old in the calendar year of the tournament.
Roster
Each team must submit a team roster of 18 players that are eligible to take part. This list must be submitted to the Tournament Director. Once the roster is submitted, no changes or additions can be made. Match cards will be distributed once the rosters are received.
Reporting
Each team must report to the respective field marshal 15 minutes before the scheduled start of its game. The home team has the option of choosing sidelines. No two teams shall be on the same sideline during the game. Failure to report to the field within 5 minutes after the scheduled start time may result in the forfeiture of the game.
Player Equipment
A team shall be required to wear acceptable uniforms (with proper numbering). All members of the same team shall wear the same color jerseys and shorts, except for the goalkeeper, who shall wear a different color jersey that shall be readily distinguishable from the opponents. Each team shall have an alternate uniform in case of conflict of colors. Where the color jersey is similar, the team listed first in the schedule will change.

No exposed metal cleats or jewelry will be permitted. Players must wear numbers that coincide with the number on the match card.

Referee's Report
The referee will forward to the field Marshal his official written game report card, which includes the official score, the numbers of the players who score, and the name and number of any player, coach, team official or other person cautioned ordered from the field and reason for the caution or expulsion.
Fouls & Misconduct
Any player that receives a yellow card must leave the field of play for 5 minutes (NO SUBSTITUTION). If a player receives two yellow cards during a game, the player must leave the field, and is ineligible to participate in the team's following game (one game suspension). A player receiving a red card must leave the field and is ineligible to participate in the teams following game (One game suspension). Players ejected for throwing punches or fighting will be immediately disqualified for the remainder of the tournament.

Any player, coach, manager, or spectator who engages in threats or attempted assault upon any official or committee member will be removed from the tournament site by the proper law enforcement authority. Any threats or verbal abuse upon any referee by players coaches or fans may result in removal of those individuals from the tournament site by the proper law enforcement authority. The Linden Walters Soccer Committee reserves the right to fully prosecute any and all individuals for any form of misconduct during the course of this tournament.

Players as well as coaches, team officials and supporters are expected to conduct themselves within the spirit of the law. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of' their team officials, players and supporters on the sidelines and may be carded by the referee for sideline misconduct by them. No team or club official may enter the field of play regardless of the circumstances, unless requested to do so by the referee. The tournament Director, acting on the advise of the referee and/or Tournament Committee Members, shall exercise his option of asking the public safety officials to remove any person or persons from the tournament location whose actions seek to create a public nuisance.

Forfeits
The start of a game cannot be delayed A FORFEIT SHALL BE AWARDED, IF A TEAM IS NOT PREPARED TO PLAY WITHIN 5 MINUTES AFTER THESCHEDULED TIME AND WITH EIGHT PLAYERS ON THE FIELD. The forfeit score will he 2-0 (Goals count in the Tie-Breaker)
Protest
No protest will be entertained regarding a referee's judgment. Protest may only be made by the coach or manager and must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes after the completion of the game, and forwarded to the tournament director. A $50 protest fee must be submitted with the written protest. The Tournament Committee will meet to discuss the issue and a binding ruling will be given. The protest fee will be returned to the protesting team if the protest is upheld.
Duration of Games
Preliminary games are of straight 20 minutes duration (there is no tiebreaker during preliminary games). Quarterfinals and Semi-final games are straight 30 minutes. The finals is a 40 minute game (Two 20 minute halves)

If the score is tied at the end of regulation time in the Quarter-final and Scmi-final games, there will be one round of regular penalty kicks(5), followed by Sudden Death penalty kicks if necessary.

In the event the score is tied at the end of regulation time in the final game there will be one 10 minute overtime play, followed by one round of regular penalty kicks (5) and then by Sudden Death penalty kicks if necessary.

Unlimited Substitutions
  • on your own throw in

  • on your own corner
  • before a goal kick
  • after a goal has been scored
  • at half time
  • at the beginning of overtime
  • at half time of an overtime
Points
Three points are awarded for a win if the winning team scores three goals or more. Two points are awarded for a win, one point for a draw and no point for a toss. The top two teams in each zone qualify for playoff.
Tiebreakers
To resolve a tie the following sequence is used:
  • Head to head
  • Goal differential
  • Most wins in a zonal play
  • Coin toss
Inclement Weather
If inclement weather forces cancellation of play the unfinished games shall be held on a date to be agreed on by all parties concerned

The Tournament Committee will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any individual, team or club if the tournament is canceled, whole or in part.
